Okinawa Up Close
We can take you to the hottest destinations in Okinawa or show you places that are barely even on the map.
Visit ancient castle sites, stand in little-known power spots, view breathtaking ocean vistas, or witness Okinawan culture and history. It’s your choice. You decide where you want to go and we’ll take you on a tour.
We’ll pick you up where you’re staying, take you around the island and drop you back after a full day tour. We’ll even take your picture – and we’re talking professional flash photography!
Prices
With Flash Photography - ¥30,000/person

- Up to five destinations (distance/traffic matter)

You can add photography services later at any time.
Prices are per person. Ask us about flat-rates for large groups.
Up to four passengers can ride with us, but if you have your own transportation, there is no limit to the number of people.
Price of admission to paid tour destinations (if any) is extra.

Things to Know
Okinawa main island is bigger than tourists who plan trips here think and many destinations are farther away than they seem. Do not trust the transit times given on Google Maps or other navigation systems. They can be wildly incorrect.
Traffic can be horrible, especially in central Okinawa. Locals joke that it takes 2 hours to get from Chatan to Chatan. Traffic will affect how long it takes to get from place to place and may make even it impossible to get to certain destinations during open hours.
The weather can change very quickly in Okinawa and in winter it can go from quite hot to somewhat chilly rather quickly. In summer, Okinawa is very hot and the sun is strong. Winter can be colder here than people realize, so please dress accordingly.
Terms
The following terms apply to all of our tours. Terms and conditions may change without notice so please read these carefully before you pay.
Transportation
We can take four passengers (plus one driver) in our vehicle. Under no circumstances will we take more than four passengers in our vehicle unless expressly agreed in advance.
Number of Participants
In theory, there is no limit to the number of participants who can join a tour with us. As long as members of your group have their own transportation, you can invite as many people on the tour as you wish.
Photography
If you pay for the flash photography option, we will take high-quality flash photography photos of you and your group. We will deliver 5 images in high-resolution jpg. You can select these from a gallery I will post prior to editing. If you would like more images, these can be purchased at ¥3,000 each in advance and I will edit them. Entrance Fees
Customer entrance fees to venues that require them will be paid by customers directly. Guides will pay for their own tickets. We can arrange tour destinations that have no entrance fees if desired.
Refunds
Partial refunds of 50% are available if cancellation is made with alt least 48 hours notice. No refund is available after 48 hours before the tour begins.
Food and Drink
Customers must bring their own snacks and drinks and pay for their own meals. We can stop at convenience stores as often as needed. Guides will provide their own food and drink.
Alcohol
It is not illegal in Japan to consume alcohol in most public places. It is also not illegal for non-drivers to consume alcohol even in a vehicle. It is our general policy that customers may not bring alcohol on our tours (although you may certainly purchase it with meals, etc.). However, if it is very important to you, certain exceptions might be made. This is not guaranteed. Please check in advance.
Illegal Drugs
I shouldn’t have to say this, but I will. Japan has severe penalties for illegal drugs. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on our tours.
